The Cat Care Society also has volunteers paint "Flat Cats" done on a square canvas format. I signed up to do one of these paintings, which will be revealed on this page of the Cosmos Cat Project blog after April 4th.
For now, I am working out the design on tracing paper.

Started to paint the base coat colors. I made a color chart of mostly yellows and oranges to find what will be appropriate for Ms. Tiger's coat and the analogous flowers that sweep through the painting

Art was delivered to the Cat Care Society, and since it was accepted for the fundraiser/silent auction, I can now reveal the final design...
....and the completed painting!
This was a fun project to help raise funds for the awesome Cat Care Society. The first public showing will be at the Lakewood Arts Council, 6731 W. Colfax Ave., Lakewood, CO during the month of June. Many other art items will be available for bidding, as will the cat statues in the 2015 Tails of the Painted Cats.
